Malthouse Surgery becomes a research‑active practice
We’re pleased to share that Malthouse Surgery is now a research‑active GP practice, working with the NIHR Research Delivery Network (South Central). From time to time, we may invite patients to take part in NHS‑approved research studies that help improve diagnosis, prevention and treatment across the NHS.
What this means for you
- You might receive an invitation by text, NHS App, email or letter, or your clinician may mention a study during an appointment.
- Taking part is completely your choice and won’t affect your care with us. You can say no, or withdraw later if you change your mind.
- If you do choose to take part, you’ll receive clear information about what’s involved and who sees your data.
Your privacy We follow UK data protection law and NHS research governance. We won’t share your contact details or give access to your medical record without your explicit consent. Some projects only use anonymous, de‑identified data so individuals cannot be identified.
Don’t want to be contacted about research?
You can opt out at any time by visiting https://www.nhs.uk/your-nhs-data-matters/manage-your-choice/ or by calling 0300 303 5678. You can also tell our reception team and we’ll update your preference locally.
