On Tuesday 3rd April the Malthouse Surgery received 949 incoming telephone calls from patients, almost 100 an hour. The average answer time for the day was 3 minutes, however, we know some people who called at a time when lots of others called waited much longer than this and we apologise. Remember before you call the surgery to make an appointment there are alternatives for minor health problems, such as going to your local pharmacist.

To complement the COACH website we now have Katie Trafford available as our Care Navigator. Katie will be working closely with local health care organisations and charities to help patients better understand available health and care services, guiding and signposting you to appropriate health & care support services locally. There is no need to book an appointment with your GP to ask a non-medical health or care question, if our receptionists do not know the answer or you want to have a more in depth chat about a non-medical health or care matter, just ask to speak to Katie or make an appointment to see her.
