We require SALARIED GP(s) with potential to become a partner

Would you like to work in a friendly, supportive, democratic Practice in the picturesque Market Town of Abingdon, on the banks of the River Thames, 8 miles from Oxford, with excellent recreational and cultural opportunities?  We are proud of our high quality achievement and reputation in providing excellent care to our 17,000+ patients.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated GP who is an excellent communicator, decision maker and team player, with a patient-centered approach to work 4-8 sessions, flexible timings during the day are available with one duty a week. 

We can’t offer a job role that isn’t at times busy and challenging, or a population that doesn’t have its share of chronic diseases and is a young demographic.  What we can offer is a rewarding role, with great variety working alongside some experienced and not so experienced GPs including trainees, all supported by our great admin/clinical teams and the latest technology.  A patient list is optional depending on sessions. Visits are possible, but infrequent, as we do have a visiting paramedic/nurse team and we also have range of other clinicians, including physiotherapists, clinical pharmacist, pharmacy technician, mental health practitioner, social prescriber, specialist diabetes nurse, paramedic and advanced nurse practitioners.

• You will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, ensuring the delivery of appropriate and evidence-based healthcare. We hope the successful candidate will integrate seamlessly into the team. 

Sessions

The post-holder will work the agreed number of sessions per week at agreed times.  Each session will include 14 patients at an average of 15 minute intervals, including a mix of e-mail consultations, clinical triage on the day and routine. You will be included in the duty rota and there will be opportunities for additional payment when participating in extended hours sessions  and annual flu or COVID vaccine clinics etc..
